Having driven around much of the Marbella and Costa Del Sol areas, I have found The Los Flamingos area to be one of the most attractive and pleasant not to mention exceptionally well located developments on the coast. Golfers enjoy superb views of the Mediterranean, Africa and Gibraltar while experiencing all the unique demands the challenging golf course has to offer. The course is landscaped around a lake and bird sanctuary with a variety of fruit trees, cypresses and pines. Other facilities include an extensive practice area, putting greens and a short 9 hole course. The spectacular Ritz-Carlton 5-star hotel “Villa Padierna” offers two restaurants, a Golf academy, a golf shop with everything you'd ever need and the cosy “La Cantina” bar makes a great venue to relax after a few holes. The hotel also has a spa with indoor pool, sauna and eight therapeutic baths.

You will also find many other internationally renowned courses within 30 minutes drive including La Quinta, Las Brisas, Marbella, Los Naranjos, Atalaya, Los Arqueros, La Duquesa, Guadalmina, El Paraiso, Aloha.

The local sandy beach is 5 minutes drive away and provides water sports, bars and cafes. A short 10 minute drive up the main road leads to Laguna Beach - an unspoilt beach and shopping area frequented by celebrities and local beautiful people. A great place to unwind and relax.

Jewel of the Costa del Sol and the whole of the Mediterranean. Marbella holds a special charm for the visitor contrasting the sea, the mountains, and the famous '0ld Town' with the 'Orange Square'. Entertainment and leisure are high on the list in and around Marbella, Casinos, superb restaurants of every nationality, cinemas, shopping centres, numerous golf courses and every other sporting facilities available. Frequented by film stars, wealthy arabs and football stars Marbella is famous for its high class shopping where all the top world class designer labels can be found.

Los Flamingos is a quick 10 minute drive from the world famous Puerto Banús Marina where Europe's rich, famous and beautiful come to hang out. The restaurants here present the finest food available with prices being surprisingly affordable - picassos pizza reataurant is a great example. Puerto Banus is a great place to stroll, relax, people watch, shop and dine not to mention a few drinks along the way.

Driving directions from Malaga Airport to the apartment;

Drive out of the Terminal and folllow sign to Cadiz, N340-E15. BP garage will be on your left.

After 50 metres come to roundabout with San Miguel Brewery, go straight over (2nd exit).

Get into right hand lane ready to take the slip road in 100m, in the direction of Torremolinos & Cadiz, N340.

Join the main N340, stay on this road for 3km when you will see a sign Benalmadena & Algercieras 500m.

Get into right hand Lane and join the slip road as you go past the BMW garage. Sign for Benalmadena N340-A7-E15.

LANDMARK: After approx 7 Kms on the motorway you will see signs for Benalmadena and a Cable Car going over the motorway.

After another 14kms you start to descend a long hill, at the bottom of the hill you should take the PAEJE or AP7 (Toll Road) outside lanes.

Follow the direction & sign for Marbella and Algerciras. A-7-E15. Paeje.

After another 14kms you pass a sign for Calahonda this is also where the Toll Booths are. €3.20 in Winter, €5.15 in Summer.

After passing through the Toll, drive for another 20kms.

After you pass a sign for OJEN and Marbella the Toll road merges with the N340 again.

Continue along this road for approx 6km more. Until you see large blue signs overhead.

Follow the directions & sign to San Pedro Alacantara, Estepona, Algerciras N340 Coast - Right hand lanes.

Eventually you will pass under the famous 'Marbella' sign.

Follow the N340 through San Pedro and take the Cancelada exit. Be Careful, the sign with 'Cancelada' on it can be easily missed!

Turn right at the roundabout and follow the road up the hill, straight over the next roundabout.

You will now have reached the gated entrance to Los Flamingos. Turn left at the first roundabout, straight over the next roundabout, drive past the Villa Padierna Hotel and keep going. As you climb a hill you wii see Royal Flamingos directly in front of you

The road then bears left then right until you arrive at the gates of Royal Flamingos on your right

Using the remote control go through the gate and turn immediately right opening the underground car park shutter again using the remote control.

Our car parking space is number 19 and is the first space on the left just as you enter the garage.
There is a storage bay where the front of your car will be. Adjacent to the parking spaces is a door leading to the lifts.
Take the lift to the 2nd floor (two floors up) and turn left out of the lift. Our apartment is on your left.

You'd be hard pressed to find a British airport that does not offer flights to Malaga airport. You can also fly to Gibraltar for exactly the same amount of travel time - the flight time is around three hours. From the airport its just a one hour drive (either rental car or taxi) straight down major roads right to the apartment (please see driving directions above).
